Les has enjoyed working at IPMS for more than twenty years where he and his colleagues use their wide range of knowledge and experience to care for the entire family.

Les received his degree in Physical Education from John J. Pershing College. He went on to receive a Post Graduate Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania.

Les has held Physical Therapy Licenses in The District of Columbia and Mississippi. He has been licensed in Alaska for over twenty-five years. A retired Major in the USAF (Physical Therapist), he’s worked in Texas, Mississippi, Hawaii, and did Sports Therapy / Athletic Training at the USAF Academy in Colorado. Here at IPMS he specializes in the practice of Physical Therapy using heat and ice, ultrasound electrical stimulation, and specialty taping. He’s known for his excellent manual therapy skills and is trained in Craniosacral Techniques. He is also very experienced in outpatient orthopedics and acute / sub-acute treatments.

When he’s not working, Les has volunteered hundreds of hours of his skills to many High School sports programs. He is a life member of the American Physical Therapy Association and member of the American Legion. He too is a past Affiliate Faculty member of the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Alaska and National Organization.

Married to his wife for more than forty years, Les has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He’s lived in Eagle River for thirty years and enjoys fishing, RV camping, campfires, outdoor activities – especially with his grandkids!
